Eddie Sorrells is a distinguished professional with a career spanning over 30 years in the security industry. Currently holding the position of President at DSI Security Services, Eddie's journey began over three decades ago when he joined DSI as a security officer. Throughout his tenure, he has ascended through various management roles, showcasing his expertise and commitment to the organization.
In 2015, Eddie Sorrells added "author" to his list of accomplishments with the release of his debut book, "Security Litigation: Best Practices for Managing and Preventing Security-Related Lawsuits." This publication offers practical guidance and real-world examples to help security executives navigate the complex legal landscape they face daily.
Eddie's academic background includes a BS degree from Troy University and a Juris Doctorate from Jones School of Law in Montgomery, Alabama. He is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama and the United States District Court, Middle District of Alabama.
Eddie Sorrells holds several professional certifications, including the CPP (Certified Protection Professional) Board Certification in Security Management, PSP Certification (Physical Security Professional), and PCI Certification (Professional Certified Investigator). His commitment to advancing the security industry is evident in his roles as a board member for NASCO (National Association of Security Companies), Past Chair of the Security Services Council, and Community Vice President (CVP) for ASIS International. Notably, he also serves on the ASIS International Global Board of Directors as Secretary/Treasurer in 2024.
