The $50 ticket includes lunch. ($40 for members). Attendees will earn 1 CPE.

Investigators in both the public and private sectors must work to remain neutral and fact-based while conducting inquiries into incidents and allegations that arise within the workplace. 

Our speaker, Tripp Mitchell will provide insight into how these biases can influence even the best investigator and provide ways to recognize and overcome areas of cognitive bias during the investigative process.

Tripp J. “Tripp” Mitchell’s career spans over thirty (30) years of experience in public safety, law enforcement,   security,   risk management, and   private   investigation.   His educational background   includes   a   Master’s   Degree   in   Public   Administration,   the   FBI   Law Enforcement Executive Development Program, the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College, and the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police Executive Training course.

 

He has had extensive training in such areas as public safety leadership, criminal and civil investigations, security management, stalking, threat assessment, behavioral analysis, premises liability, and negligent security as well as deadly force confrontations, and risk management. He is an experienced and certified instructor and taught as an adjunct at various colleges and technical schools as well as many regional police academies. Tripp holds the designation of Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Certified Crisis Coordinator, and Law Enforcement Risk Specialist.
